Shipping & Delivery

Despatch Time

Thanks to our production process being bespoke and based in the UK and the USA, all our designs are always in stock so you never have to wait longer than it takes to print pack and post it to your door.  We make every effort to get your order dispatched within 3 - 5 business days after the day of order.  Sometimes the lead time is a little longer, but if this is the case we contact you to advise.

Experience has taught us that most order delays are down to missing delivery information, so please make sure you give us your correct contact, address and delivery details. We will deliver to the address you provide us, so failure to provide the correct details may mean that your goods are sent to an incorrect address. 

You can review the details you have provided us at account registration, order confirmation and on your order confirmation email. If you have processed an order with incorrect details then please get in touch immediately so we can amend them for you. If your order has already been dispatched then regrettably we can’t be held responsible for a missing order. 
Postage Rates

Postage/shipping is calculated for your region at the time of checkout.
Postage Times

It’s important that if you ordered online you gave a valid email address that you check regularly. We operate mainly via email, and will send you expected delivery date updates regularly. See below for a guide of delivery times: 

UK/USA: We post all our orders by Royal Mail / USPS. All orders over a £100.00 goods value will be sent by Royal Mail recorded delivery on a First Class Mail service. 

While the majority of orders sent this way will arrive between 1-3 days it can take up to 14 days after despatch to be delivered. These are the guidelines the Royal Mail provide us with, which we have to adhere to if you contact us. 

EUROPE: Deliveries to most European countries are sent priority air mail and should be delivered approximately 4-7 days after shipment from UK. The exception to this are Norway and Italy, where items are sometimes held up at customs, for that reason we advise Norwegian customers that deliveries can take up to 3 weeks and we'd ask you to wait that long before contacting us. 

Rest of the World: Deliveries to America and the Rest of the World can take anything from 5 - 20 days. The average time we find is 12 days.

Ordering and Payment

We use PayPal as our payment gateway/processor. You can pay through PayPal with or without a PayPal account. If you don't have a PayPal account you will be asked for your payment details via PayPal.

Can I order over the phone?

Yes, you can but we'd prefer you to use the online payment process which ensures your order is a secure as possible and also means we have more time to spend making your t-shirt. 

I'm not sure if my order went through? How can I find out if it did?

You should receive a confirmation email from us soon after ordering. If you didn’t get one then chances are your spam filters are blocking our email, or your order didn’t complete. Paypal orders can take a little longer to process than card payments as Paypal is an external site to  To complete the order correctly you will need to see the order confirmed screen on and also receive your confirmation email. If you are not sure if your order has processed properly please log in to your account on the website, your order should be displayed there. If it isn’t or you purchased without creating an account then please email us and we will look into it for you. 
I don't have a credit or debit card. Can I send an order in the post/mail?

Unfortunately we don’t accept orders via post. 

I live abroad and I’m not sure what the UK price for my order is in my local currency. How do I find out?

Paypal should show you the local currnecy equivalance when you check out. You can also click this link, it will take you to currency converter where you can select your local currency. It’s updated every day with the current exchange rate. 

I'm in America. Do you take $ checks or money orders?

No. We can only accept payment via PayPal. .
Payment Security

When you shop online at we want you to feel you can do so securely, and we understand security and trust is a key factor in keeping you satisfied. We understand some customers can be uncomfortable divulging their payment details to companies without a well-known brand name so we have created a shopping environment in which you can have total confidence in using. While we hold all your order and address information, we do not process your payment. We pass responsibility for taking your payment to one of two trusted third party’s of your choosing. This means we do not hold any of your debit or credit card information, we leave that to trusted financial institutions, and therefore it’s safer than using your card in a shop on the high street. 

Once you add items to your cart and reach the checkout stage you can select to pay securely in one of two ways; 


Paypal is recognized world wide and is one of the worlds leading and most trusted online payment system and gives YOU complete control over your payments to Petrol Threads. Paypal is also eBay’s preferred method of payment. If you select Paypal as your payment method we never have any access to your financial information, you are in control. If you have a Paypal account then you know how it works, just select ‘Paypal’ at the check out stage and place your order that way. 

If you are new to Paypal you can set up an account free of charge. No credit/debit card information is required to sign up to Paypal. However once you are signed up, and you have a Paypal account you can just add money to cover your purchases with, or any other online retailer. All your purchases are protected with Paypal Buyer Protection.

Garment Sizing - What size am I?

Whatever size you are we’re sure you’re perfect! But we can’t tell your exact size from here. Check out the size chart below for guidance. 

If you don’t know what size you are, then you’ll need a tape measure. Measure from under arm to under arm across your chest, then multiply by two. That’s your chest measurement. Now check the size chart below.

Account Information
I have registered with you already but now my password doesn't work. Why not?

Usually this because when you registered, you either used a different email address or you spelled the email address wrongly. If you have a current order with an incorrect email address then you won’t have received an order confirmation email. Please contact us giving us your name, post or zip code and the item you ordered so we can take a look at your order and give you the email address you entered. Then you can log in and update you details. 

If you haven’t got a current order then just re-register making sure the details are correct.

When I enter my email address and password, it keeps saying my password is wrong. Why?

Again, make sure you are using the same email address. We have customers who change their email address regularly and forget which one they have registered with us. In any case, as long as you don’t have a current order with us you can re-register using the correct details. Otherwise please use the ‘Contact Us’ page with your problem and we will do our best to help you out.
Why does it keep saying my account is not active when I enter my email address and password?

Sadly in todays scam and spam laden internet, we get so many spambots registering fake accounts that we have had to take measures to reduce the fake accounts so we have implemented filters and manual checks to validate new accounts. If you account is not activated within 24 hours of creating it, please send us an email and we'll look into it.
Custom Orders
Can you print my design/artwork onto a t-shirt?

Yes we can! We do a lot of this for customers who want a custom one-off t-shirt. Or if you think you’ve got a design that will appeal to more people, we might well licence your design so you can earn a little extra cash at the same time. I run a store and would be interested in wholesale prices. Can you send me information? Sure we can do wholesale on some ranges. It all depends on what you want to order. Have an idea of which designs you would like then contact us via the ‘Contact Us’ page and one of our friendly staff will help you out.
